“Something in the Orange” singer Zach Bryan won’t be seeing more Grammy gold soon. The musician is not on the first-round ballot for the 2025 Grammys, Variety reported. Sources told the outlet Bryan declined to submit his music because he disagrees with music awards shows. A rep for Bryan had no comment to Vulture. The prolific singer-songwriter just won his first Grammy last year in Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “I Remember Everything” with Kacey Musgraves. He was likely to be a contender again this year for his new album The Great American Bar Scene and song “Pink Skies.” But Bryan has always positioned himself as an old-fashioned, anti-Establishment purist, making his withdrawal ultimately not too surprising. At least Musgraves won’t have to compete against her own duet partner this year.
