First they came for the sidewalks, and we spoke up, because we care about sidewalks. According to a report from Deadline, a man dressed as a city construction worker took a sledgehammer to Donald Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star early this morning. Trump’s star was dedicated in 2007, in recognition of his work on The Apprentice. Jamie Otis, the man who reportedly took a hammer to the star, told the site that he originally intended to remove the star and auction it off to raise money for the women who have accused Trump of sexual assault. “Obviously,” the site adds, “the removal effort was not a success today with the star smashed into pieces but not leaving the ground.” Trump’s star has been the site of repeated vandalism since he announced his presidential bid, despite the fact that it was once protected by a pretty yuge wall.
