Austrian-born Arnold Schwarzenegger now says he would have run for president this election, if only he had been born in the United States. Similarly, you would have run for president in 2016, if only you had been a wealthy megalomaniac driven insane by your lust for power. “If I’d been born in America, I would’ve run,” the actor, who served as the Republican governor of California from 2003 to 2011, told Adweek. “Because now? This was a very good time to get in the race.” Schwarzengger will unfortunately have to settle for Donald Trump’s old job hosting The Apprentice. Seriously though, would an Arnold versus Donald face-off have been any worse? What horrible things could we possibly discover about Arnol … oh right, yup, never mind.
